Wesley and Kristiana got Superiors today! Well, you're probably wondering why and what for. They each got them for a Piano Competition. They were really excited. They each got 5 points. If you get fifteen points you get a trophy. We were so happy to get the top number of points that you could. We also saw Mandy pole volt. She did really well and cleared 9 ft. 6 in. By: Kristianna
I am not sure if you catch on here that I was thrilled to be in the Smokies but I obviously miss my little sis as well! Susan drove over from NC to spend the day with us. Time went so fast but we did manage to see a lot as we drove and hiked through Smoky Mt. National Park. My older kids became Jr. Rangers again and were busy working on that when we weren't throwing snowballs, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, or posing for pictures! While we were there my Dad had a pacemaker placed. He is now feeling well enough to run the half-marathon with Sue, Sam, and Stephen this weekend! ;) I am grateful today for family and for health.
From FL we drove to Vidalia, GA and stayed with the Mc Queens. We drove the next day to Atlanta to see Marcia's grandmother and the Was family. We took a ride up to the top of Stone Mountain while we were there. We loved seeing our friends and family and a little chance to see new places.
Staying with Kinseys, hanging out with Heidi, Wendy and the kids, Heritage Village, church at FBCIR, friends, and memories of where we have been............these are pictures that remind me why I feel very blessed.
Well, we are back in Ohio and a little bit confused as to the weather. It's been warm in FL and now is nice in OH as well! Hope you all are enjoying your days as well.
I have SO many pictures I could post! It was great to see so many of you in FL, GA, and TN. These particular pictures are of are time on water...both the beach and ice skating. Also thrown into the week are pictures of the kids at a park and with their friends.
I know this isn't nearly as dramatic as placing 808 logs but I finished a project of mine. I subscribe to a sewing magazine from Finland that I love called Ottobre. The cover photo made all of us do a double-take. I know Isabel didn't leave the country but it sure looked like she was recruited! Isabel HAD to have a dress just like it. I did my best! It is a little tricky because the material in the pattern magazine is overseas and not usually found here. I'll send the original and my little "model". You tell me what you think!
We had our first blizzard since moving back to Ohio. I had to work last night from 7p-11p. It took me an hour to get there and 2 hours to get back! The two deer on the side of the road didn't even bother to run as I crept by in our little Honda Fit. You could almost see them shaking thier heads! :)
I spent 3 hours today shoveling out the log home after the snow finally stopped around 5 this afternoon. We got anywhere from 12-16 inches.
We are getting ready for another big snow storm coming from Texas (thanks, Pete!) so I am posting these pictures now. Kris has been busy! I have to work tonight. It might be an interesting ride to Dayton.
