Connector progress

Both the electrical and framing inspections for the connector have passed. We have been using this area since steps were added. It is nice to see details emerging.

Great weekend, great taste!

It is hard to put into words all that happened this weekend. I think I will need a few days to recover from all of the fun stuff, let alone working 24 hours of it! We got to see Adam and Krista and the kids, eat at a really cool spot in Columbus, have the Banses' up from FL, and have dinner with them and Cameron, Anna, and Will. At the end of all this I got a really good deal on material for our windows and was able to stay alert for work plus a 2 hour meeting after work. I feel very blessed today and so grateful that I am off work until Thurs. night! :) Krista brought Wesley back from spending the night in Columbus and got to see our house in real life. I thought I would post a picture of one more reason that I really like my cousin-in-law....great taste in cars. As you can see my car has been repaired since the deer attack. Hope you are relaxing from your fun weekend as well.

Windy night

They were saying on the news last night that there was gusts of 70 mph. While I wasn't measuring myself I can tell you that the kids had to sleep in the basement last night so they could get to sleep without the winds' howling. Our place fared a bit better then this poor tree in town!

"I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful."

Some of my brothers and sister have passed on to my children and nieces an obsession with quoting lines from movies at various situations. One of the favorite movies is What About Bob. Today after having an nice lunch in town Isabel really wanted to be outside. I decided to stop by the Indian Mound on our way home. It was breezy but a beautiful day. She kept saying that she wanted to keep hiking. As you can see she wasn't entirely dressed for it! She kept saying this quote over and over as she hiked. It is raining now as I am posting and it looks like making the most of the nice day was a great idea!

A full house

It all started out as a weekend when my brother Sam could come up from VA since he missed the Thanksgiving gathering. Since he was coming the other siblings in the "area" decided to come down as well. Dad had also not been able to come in Nov. In the end 5 siblings and their kids and my parents were in town. 22 people....

We had a great time and it is neat to be surrounded by those who know you well. It is also neat to see my little brothers as fathers. How times have changed!

I hope you were able to have a wonderful weekend as well.

Winter

I thought I would post a few of my favorite pictures from this wintry week. We have had a lot of snow throughout this month. We have stayed quite warm and are very grateful for the sun and our planned windows this season. The heat hasn't been on today but as you can see it is very comfortable in the house. Kris is outside in the cold and as you can see he is busy putting the porch roof on the connector.
