Happy Thanksgiving

SNOW!! And we missed it! We went to Athens, OH for Thanksgiving and came back the next day to see snow. There was still a little left in the shadows for a few snowballs. The kids were so excited!

I hope you all had a great time with family and friends and possibly work :). We have so much to be thankful for the year. Of course our house and the move itself are big but so also are our family and friends that have helped us make this huge transition so well. Thanks, guys! We are also grateful for Isabel's health.
Here is a picture of a sunset from our little deck shown above. With all the windows we get to watch some pretty spectacular ones! Kris is working on the floor joists above. Wesley has been using the basement as a basketball court.
Have a great weekend.

Night Shift

Kris is outside now working on the house. It's almost 9pm! He had to wait until I got home from a class in Sydney, Ohio today to tackle a few projects. We have unusual working times here! :) Here is a picture of the sill plates in place at night.

Living in color

It is so good to be connected to technology again! I wanted to show you a beautiful sunset seen from our porch. The library had The Turtle Lady visiting and Wesley got to hold a bearded dragon. Other notable pictures were the logs arriving and Kris waterproofing our basement.
The kids are doing well and are looking forward to Thanksgiving. Hope you have a great week!

Quick update

Hello, everyone! No pictures today but I wanted to write and let you all know that we are doing well and are loving being out in our house. The unnerving thing for me was to be welcomed by the coyotes at night! Nothing can quite prepare you for that sound. Smudge wasn't too happy either.
The concrete is being poured into our basement of our home site and the logs are scheduled to come Monday. We will get some pictures of that!
Right now I am still sorting through boxes. We found our winter clothes last night from FL. Unfortunately the kids have grown and not all will fit but it was still exciting. Kris has been putting up gutters, trim, and even got a freezer for us.
This weekend we are having a little Indian Rocks gathering at our place. Susan is also flying in!!! The Gerbers will be in town as well.
We are so thankful to be living at the job site although we had a strange thing happen. We were expecting our steel beam to arrive yesterday morning. It did...at 5 am! The delivery man apologized and said that usually there is no one at a place that still needs a steel beam.
Have a great day.

Welcome home, Williams' family....

We are finally sleeping and eating at our new home! We are so excited even though we are stepping around boxes. Thanks for all your prayers for inspections and God's provisions. It was so nice to wake up this morning on our "promised land" as Susan called it!! Here are some pictures. I hope to fill in more details later. In the host of pictures is Kris's dad digging out our basement for the log home, the Superior Walls basement being installed, Isabel and David at the Little Miami River, Indian Mound falls, covered bridge on Charleton Mill Rd, and Clifton Mill. Ohh.. and my Mom doing what she loves...starting a fire! Enjoy.

Sorry, it been a while...

We are SO close to being in our garage-house but are starting on the log home as well. This is a picture of my father-in-law at work! Hope to post more soon. Keep the final inspections in your prayers. Miss you all!

Hello!

It seems it has been forever since I've been able to post! A lot has been happening around the garage house and Cedarville. I will try to fill you in. We are moving ahead with drywall presently. It is so exciting to see things really take shape. Kris and his Dad finished the outside trim making the outside look great.

The soybeans have been harvested and Wesley told me that they are planting winter wheat in it's place. The corn is still up but we expect that to be gone any day.

It was homecoming weekend at Cedarville Univesity this past weekend. Heidi and Melissa were able to come stay with us. We saw old friends too and our children were able to get acquainted with some of their children. Wesley and Kayleigh are battling it out at one of the jumpers set up at Homecoming.

Since it was so warm we went to our favorite water spot and enjoyed the fall colors and a few splashes. Hard to believe it was 90 in October in Ohio!
